"Helping Hands Day of Community Service" Projects

We invite you to volunteer for a morning of community service on April 26th from 9:00 a.m. to about noon at one of over thirty project locations involving more than a thousand volunteers.  Individuals, families, faith groups, and civic organizations are encouraged to participate. Volunteers are invited to a free buffet breakfast served from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.

The California "Helping Hands Day of Community Service" program that expects to again draw more than 70,000 volunteers state-wide this year is supporting our local community-wide "Compassionate Day of Community Service" that is sponsored by the Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council. On April l7th, Huntington Beach Mayor Matt Harper issued a proclamation declaring April 26th as "Compassionate Day of Community Service" in Huntington Beach. The service day flyer, sign-up link, and email address are currently featured on the home page of the City's website at www.surfcity-hb.org.
